Kenyan Greenhouse

950 Tomato Plants Ready to Harvest

The new greenhouse  is about to harvest 950 tomato plants! The greenhouse leases farm land next to the Grace Community Center and operates through a drip irrigation system from the centers borehole (deep well). With consistent water and protection from harsh sun or rains, this greenhouse promises to supply significant produce for the Grace Community Center and the local community.

Employment for Women

The greenhouse will provide harvesting and marketing employment for local women and young unwed mothers. The funds raised will also help fund Grace Community Centers programs for women and girls.

Community Impact

The produce provided from the greenhouse will provide community members with much needed nutrients at a time when food prices are high.

Sewing Enterprise

Gladys has been trained to sew washable feminine hygiene pads and manages the Grace Community Center's (GCC) sewing enterprise. She is kept busy creating pads and teaching sewing to local women.

Gladys and her team has created over 3000 washable pads and hopes to increase their reach each year. Donations  to the sewing enterprise fund empowers the team to purchase needed materials and supplies.  The more funds they receive, the more pads they can sew!

Hen Farm

The hen house is filled with 40 hens who lay about 20 eggs a day. These eggs provide crucial nutrients for at-risk families.

Soap Making

No more back-breaking work, the Grace Community Center has purchased an electric industrial mixer!

The GCC team has mixed and distributed thousands of liters of liquid soap. Local schools purchase the soap, while many at-risk families receive it for free. Help D4G fund ingredients for even more disease-fighting soap.
