Elizabeth

In Her Own Words

I am Elizabeth. I am 16 years old and in form 2 (sophomore) at secondary school. When it is 7th March 2020 the Covid 19 started. I was in school when the president said that all schools are to close until further notice. Because of Covid 19, we are still waiting (for school).

This means that if there were no covid 19 we would still be going to school to learn but for now, there is Covid 19. As for my part, I was not feeling good about this, of course. While we are in school we are aiming at a target but now it  has fallen. But in my heart, I am still dreaming of my target.

I would like to take this opportunity to talk about Grace Community centre-Kisii and to all members of this group who give me that Radio. From the day I received the radio I felt very happy.

Of course, am still a young child I humble myself to God to forgive all sins, to see that covid 19 is in our many countries and to send his angels to us.

If you are home at your free time please learn and remember to keep physical distance in public, wear (a mask) and wash your hands with running water.

REMEMBERING Gayle

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our founder, Gayle Sommerfed. On September 24, 2025, Gayle went home to be with her Lord and Savior.

Gayle was a visionary who, motivated by the struggle of Kenyan girls missing school due to period poverty, founded Dignity4Girls in 2014. Inspired by her vision and leadership, D4G has helped over 10,000 girls and women gain access to life-changing menstrual solutions leading to better health, education, and brighter futures.
